The bigger issue here is what is under the surface — gravel subsurface canals and settles, and it loses bearing capacity fast once the winter saturates it.
What can I not put in the dumpster?
No liquids, paint, solvents, fuels, garden chemicals, batteries, tires, propane cylinders, refrigerant appliances that have not been evacuated, or anything containing asbestos. Missouri also bans several things from landfill outright — yard waste, appliances, electronics, tires and fluorescent tubes. The county drop-off sites take most of that free for St. Louis County residents. Everything else is fine.
How long can I keep the container?
Our standard rental period covers the vast majority of jobs, and if you need longer you simply call and we extend it at a modest daily rate. We would rather you kept it an extra three days than rushed the work or overfilled the can.
